Geevon 228614C Atomic Wall Clock with Indoor & Outdoor Temperature and Backlight is an easy-to-read, easy-to-use device with a permanent backlight. The time, month, date, day, and moon phase are clearly shown, using radio frequencies broadcasted from NIST's Colorado atomic clock.

This Geevon atomic alarm clock will receive the signal within the broadcast range anywhere an AM signal can be received; generally, the time signal cannot be picked up in massive metal and concrete structures unless near a window. Users can choose between EST, AST, HAST, AKST, PST, MST, and CST time zones, with the option to turn on or off Daylight Saving Time. (The atomic feature only functions in North America.)

The temperature accuracy ranges from ±4°C for -40°C to -20°C, ±2°C for -20°C to 0°C, and ±1°C for 0°C to +50°C. Note that when the temperature is in the 50°C to 70°C range, the reading is for reference only.

The wall clock features 3 dimmer levels and a permanent backlight mode, which is only possible when plugged into a power supply. Touch the top button to adjust the clock brightness (Off - Dim - Bright). Please note that to prevent reception interference, all buttons are temporarily unavailable when the atomic clock is receiving the signal (the process may last 1-2 minutes). To ensure accurate signal reception, the backlight will temporarily turn off. Once the atomic clock receives the signal, everything is back to normal.

When the atomic wall/desk clock is powered by batteries only, touch the top button to turn on the backlight, which will automatically turn off after 10 seconds.

This digital wall clock will automatically receive the time signal every day at midnight and make any required adjustments to the time setting, making it more accurate than ordinary electronic clocks.

The wireless outdoor sensor (included) transmits the outdoor temperature to the atomic clock. The remote sensor can be placed anywhere within 200ft/60m of the receiving unit. (GEEVON comes with 1 outdoor sensor.)

To maximize the wireless range, place the units away from large metallic items, thick walls, metal surfaces, or other objects that may limit wireless communications. Do not put the wireless outdoor sensor in direct sunlight or rain, as this may affect its accuracy.
